Course Narrative:
For this course, I was able to fulfill MLO 1 requirement of this major because this course gave me a better understand about the language of Japanese in better detail. Some of the work I completed that helped me have a better understanding of the language was through some of the presentations we did in class. An example of this is when had to talk about a place in Japan. I choose Akihabara. Although this helped me with my speaking in Japanese, it also helped me learn about the different ways to write in power point style in Japanese which we used Japanese dictionary form to write it. After taking this course, I realized that my writing in power point presentation in Japanese was different from writing in English; it also made me realize that it takes a lot of work to present in Japanese as we have to memorize what we have to say in each presentation. Although I have taken this course, there are still things that I still want to try to continue to learn. One of those goals is for me to continue to practice my Japanese speaking, writing, and comprehension skills. In order to explore this learning experience, I would like to leave in Japan for a good amount of time so that I can try to immerse myself in the language and culture of Japanese. Another thing I may try to do is try to read a book that was in Japanese or watch something in Japanese that has no English subtitles in order to improve my listening skills of the Japanese language.
Final Presentation: PPT, Script
